inked

So much to consider this week. Plans of making plans and turning plans into action. I'm a nocturnal person but there is no denying how mornings are extremely important time of the day. I also do things like building houses, feeding creatures and trying to survive cooking without burning myself, magical things like that, heh. Bigger plans are blowing my brains out but whatever, i already started it, which is already part accomplishment though small. Other notes in my blueprint remain blurry but then that's the challenge of getting acquainted with several unknown things.

Patterns of ink transferred a trace of Corona Borealis on my hand. Good omen, i supposed.

Half the Zenith

Half the Zenith
{mixed media}

{Post written 31st of August, whilst the Sunday downpour}

And because it has been a frustrating week for me (literally a downpour blow), i hibernated this weekend after the Saturday workshop to think things over. I shortlisted things I opt to make habitual starting the madness that is Monday.

1. New brain juice - Refine my skills. Recharge and broaden my scope.
2. New adventure, pull fresh roots - Go places and discover. Make new things in all possible ways than one and two. Never settle in three to five either. Grow the hunger to create until it becomes a monster. Then feed it well until it puke good things.
3. New restraints - Save up for my map marks. Plan the whole thing like a boss.
4. New packaging - My portfolio makeover.
5. New tongue - I'm not totally fluent in Spanish and French but i can understand. I'm adding Italian in my list. I've been reading Tagalog books, too. I'm proud to say that i can speak fluent Filipino now.
6. Extend myself. As this will be an ongoing process, attempt and never get tired of it.
7. Keep the spirit.

The Unsullied

The Unsullied
{watercolour and graphite}

This morning i was thinking about the things i have to do and accomplish this week. I told myself i need to do it in perfection and there should be no room for any spot of mistake. And before i finished my coffee, i was already stressed out without even having the day started, yet. Then i realized i was doing it the wrong way. There will be no perfection if i won't deal with trial and error. And there will be no fun if i take it in mechanical tempo like a robot working in threads of commanded motion. That's not the way i roll and that's not my tip-toe climbing up. My way is berried yet never dull.

I'm going to render my best to make this week propelling up. Besides, i got a couple of exciting things to look forward to. Right, da Vinci?

through my looking glass

I could stare at the clouds forever whenever i'm not feeling well. You know how pretty things get prettier as they blend in different shapes? It's fascinating. Life's daily miracles.

Worm's eye view from the pool deck last weekend. I prefer a lone, quiet swim on a Saturday. And it's safer paddling in a swim wear when offices in the opposite buildings are closed hohoh.

Being the observant, it doesn't take a rocket science i know, nevertheless i still want to write or draw what i see anyway. I may be that geek. Yea, i am.
This is the lightest and smoothest i can do. My drawings are quite rougher lately.

Don't you just love sitting beside the window to gaze into the horizons? I will always request (and insist) to be on the lookout heheh.

By the way, since i'm feeling a lot better now, i'd like to share my Oh Summer, Oh Sunday folder of goods. I don't know how long this will be available via link, but just in case, nab it right away (as in NOW) kids.
Track listing:
Glue Girls - Someone still loves you, Boris Yeltsin
The Next Time Around - Little Joy
What Can I Do For You? - Illinois
I thought you said summer is going to take the pain away - Hello Saferide
My Hands are Shaking - Sondre Lerche
Thank you Mario, but our Princess is in another castle - The Mountain Goats & Kaki King

Dance your heart out + sing your lungs out + blast the stereo on your car and pave the long highway like infinity express + celebrate the world didn't meet 6PM-doomsday (yet and hopefully not yet) = Enjoy.
*Back to devising The Plan*
Happy weekend, earthlings!

someday soon

All the music playing softly while chatting with mi friend. All the basking and cloud gazing ~ thinking about so many things. Him, plans, art and the year to come. Few months to go...

Seek out a little silence
Close the doors and sit a while
Walk a little"

Sunflower

Photobucket

I'm not really a cheery person to begin with. But come to think of it; now i finally understand why Twing calls me 'Sunflower..' The struggle of doing what i love far outweighs to comfort of settling for anything less. It is sunny, after all.

Meet the New Arm

Photobucket

The heart-to-heart tattoo sticker a little girl (who didn't want to say her name)
gave me yesterday at a park.

I really have so much things to study. Seems like I am back to square one but I don't mind. Now that I'm over the horrible four-year major artist's block (really, why do it has to be that looong? Phew), I will only have possible minor blocks to deal with or NONE at all. I will block the artist's block (wicked grin).

I am not going astray anymore. I'm heading towards my goal. With only a month left to do so many piezas, it will be tough but I know I'll pull it through. That hearty tattooed-arm is ready to fly.
