float on

Walking at the seaside with one ear listening to the most beautiful sound that goes well with
the cold breeze and the soft crashing of waves...

Pasir Ris Beach

After the photo sched at Lee Ah Mooi, we drove to Pasir Ris for a wedding event.

Farthest point to East.

Kids playing longboard.

Arriving early before call-time means waiting...

... and getting hungry, so we took a short ride to the nearest mall and had our first serious
late meal of the day.

I want to try this!

Wedding guests

And the wedding crasher! :P
I don't know Charis and Boon Wei personally hahah, just took photos
and had a photo with this cute talkactive kid.

I turned into a mushroom when i drank beer and wine while taking photos.

Then switched back to human when i ate berry desserts.

seascape, dusk and dawn

The latest session befits the week's scorching heat.

My student's seascape and dawn in pastel:

I also did quick drawings: seascape and dusk.

sand paintings

Greetings from the sunny side of my windy seat! In relevance to this week's summery vicissitude, here's San Francisco based artist Andreas Amador and his rake creating large scale sand paintings on beaches and coasts. Andreas usually waits for a full moon to make sure the ocean’s tides are low enough for him to complete his designs before they’re permanently washed away. The process reminds me of how life in this world is short-lived. But it's not meant for making haste but for living and doing things you greatly adhere about.

The heat is on

The heat is too much, i can't sleep and i'm having an allergy. It'll probably rain heavy before the dawn breaks guessing about this heat spell. And because the heat is too much this weekend (considering it's already a Ber month) my head is picturing slow moving waves and a vast blue skies. Browsing over fb photos of waters i've been isn't helping hahah.

I want to go to Batangas now.

Sea, Sky, Horizon, Us

Everything around is just so breath-taking. I didn't care if the waves were lashing crazy that very morning. It's just so fun to feel the sands rubbing at my feet while the wild water strongly rushed a chase over and over again.

We're so overwhelmed by the waves, hahah. We started playing around as early as 6am. Never mind if the sea's still a chill for a starter (see me shivering at the last photo while Meg was exfoliating using the sands heheh). What's the earliest time you ever had your toes dipped in the water?

Hours to evening are equally stunning, too.

Phi-Phi Beach

Waves, waves, waves! :) The day's just perfect for surfing. Tried my best to capture the waves while it wildly splashed to my legs but i failed.

Tadaahh... presenting the underwater creatures, hahah. Mona the ultimate underwater smiling face, yours truly bubbling, and Yumi (top right).

We played games: sand maze, pictionary, charade by sand drawings, and water relay.

wild

Random things this weekend: acquired little bruises from trekking and ziplining (seriously, how come i get to bruise easily, particularly in a zipline, tsk, which i think is lame hahah); almost-wardrobe-malfunction ~ thanks to my instinct for bringing my old swimsuits in my backpack as my recent suits got so unreliably loose due to weight loss; fresh injury from knocking off the sea markers while challenging the waves; and newly acquired sunburn.

Albeit, weekend's awesome. I'll be back with photos of tree hopping, waves wrestling, tête-à-tête with nature, and underwater creatures.  :)

panoramic take

Playing with sunset's wild waves.
I just love the sound of waves crashing. :)

are you stressed?

I AM. Unexpected events, pain-in-the-arse clients, a 'crossing-the-street-on-a-red-light-but-why-the-hell-is-this-stupid-car-speeding-i-almost-got-hit' incident. Name it.

Anyway, i do not want the daylight mishaps get through my evening. So lemme just stick few random stuff that made me smile amidst the unreasonably endorphin-rush-ed day.

batangas weekend

The weather is unlike the summer last year when March-April was extremely hot. But i'm liking it. I have job assignments down south. I hope the tide is not very high when i get back for some weekends.

Another windy weekend ~ walking along the roaring waves. San Juan, Batangas.
