I am very curious about Paul Thomas Anderson's controversial film "The Master." I hope it will be shown here in SG. Joaquin Phoenix, who plays Freddie Quell, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman, who plays Dodd, the leader of a philosophical movement called "The Cause", are very convincing in their respective roles. It seems like a solidly engrossing and powerfully acted film.
On the lighter-hearted side of things, i've seen "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." Of course, the book is better than the on-screen, but seeing Charlie and friends come to life is fun and enjoying to behold.
