Crazy Little Thing Called Love

I was browsing my stash of films this morning when i found my copy of this Thai movie recommended by Joms and Dyenaheix. I watched it while having breakfast and my sulky mood turned light. You should see it, too. Because as the trailer puts it, 89% of the people who have watched this, have been through this experience.  :)

* Now i understand why even my friends who don't normally watch teeny/romantic films got to see this.

* P'Shone and Nam are so cute, they will revive the youth in you.

* I suddenly envy how the Thais make their own mainstream films. The plot and cinematography are so simple, and yet, only from that simpleness the story flow sprung the sincereness you rarely see in films of the same genre. It just goes to show that you don't need to be exaggerated and too mushy to be catchy and entertaining. It seems like Thai movie industry is catching up to Japan and Korea. Don't get me wrong, i'm not dissing Pinoy romantic films (even if i don't really watch except for John Lloyd's hahah), but maybe it's about time they get to learn from this, isn't? I'm not saying they should copy this (oh no please don't make a Pinoy version of this like the shows on tv please), but may this kind inspire them to take on originality and more clever story lines. Enough of those pa-cute, predictable, boy-meets-girl films.

* P'Shone, as Ria tweeted, looks like a cross between Chris Cayzer and Francis Magalona. :)

* It's not all the time that pretty girls get the hot guys. Even the most average-looking girl can win the heart of the most popular in school - with a twist, hahah! FTW

* If you're sad and not feeling well, you should really see this.

Happy weekend!
