on traverse

I have been trying my best to continue my daily activities with the absence of my right arm. Oh yes, my right arm is still intact. I just have to put it into rest for speedy recovery. Apparently, tearing a muscle tissue is a no-nonsense matter. Everything has been quite tough especially at work since i am right-handed. In fact, i am relying on my left hand in making this post. I have never felt so dysfunctional in my entire life. I even find it ironic that i'm writing a longer blog entry when i am currently injured, hahah. I guess it is by human nature to tussle back when one is challenged.

Anyway, the upcoming posts are those i have finished drafting during my precious idle hours. I scheduled it to load itself automatically. I realized that i have been slacking lately in keeping up with this blog. I also want to write more and post interesting stuff here so there will be a major re-vamp happening in the next months.

Readers, thanks for still following this blog even sometimes i just post crap.
The coming weeks will be an improvement.

Thank you / Grazie / Merci / Danke / Gracias / Arigato / Xiexie! :)
(i hope i didn't miss out anyone in my blog friends' list)

Salamat,

farewell december

... Keep that little child inside!
Hold her close to your heart,
We're only here for a brief time
Then with this world, we must part

For a moment each day
It's OK to get silly
to laugh and dance.
Take in all Gods glory
At every single chance.

~ Poem from Uma's fb album post for her "Farewell December" photography project
which i modeled in. It's really an honor to be called "your favorite model" hahah,
I supposed because we bond so well and it feels like we're just playing around
and having fun even under any unfortunate circumstance that befalls the shoot.
Thank you so much, Ums. Thank you for always bringing the best out of my awkward face.
It's been a while since our last shoot and it's kind of nostalgic
:)

I am a two-timer

These are my two tables (portion of each)...

Office (yes, that's Iker Casillas on the picture frame, heehee) and i only own two phones, i'm not
responsible for the rest of the phones squatting at my area.

At mi apartment: study table/drawing board/ sometimes-midnight-snack-area.

Things i learned from these tables for the past twelve months:
1. Balance - for my daily duties in the morning and living a semi-secret-love life at night.
2. Value of time.
3. Being more organized (i used to rank myself terribly poor at setting timeline and following it).
4. Being punctual. Early riser. Morning person. Less tardy. Time conscious. I think i've become more professional. :)

I was panicky when i started this two-table setup. Now, i'm getting the hang of it. I'm still slow because it's not really easy, but i'm coping. Yes, it gives me stressful days, i could go crazy running around trying to decide which thing to do first. But i'd rather be foolish, random and wrong, than getting it all straight and flunking to learn how. I welcome all my hypothesis and i am now my own scientist.

I also realized i can be an ultimately patient person. Seriously patient. Patience is not only a virtue. It takes practice and it can be very useful at times.

Meanwhile, another two in my life: Mori Catzillas (each mood sold separately).

are you stressed?

I AM. Unexpected events, pain-in-the-arse clients, a 'crossing-the-street-on-a-red-light-but-why-the-hell-is-this-stupid-car-speeding-i-almost-got-hit' incident. Name it.

Anyway, i do not want the daylight mishaps get through my evening. So lemme just stick few random stuff that made me smile amidst the unreasonably endorphin-rush-ed day.

and the city shook

Nope, not because of him roughing it (photo: Mori playing with his flipflop, yes he claimed it already). But because of a 5.7 magnitude earthquake that shook Metro Manila and the nearby provinces. I was still working with my design deadlines when i noticed Patrick Star swaying sideways, i thought i was just imagining things until my seat shook.

We're hoping that the quake won't have follow-up aftershocks. After what happened in Japan, people here are very sensitive to this kind of natural occurrence. With a lot of political rumbles going on in the Senate hearing the whole day and all the news circulating twenty four seven, too, we need the energetic positivity vibe like Patrick's big-mouthed grin. And Libya's Gaddafi? One word: insane. He needs some Patrick Star in his life, too.

By the way, did you see the super moon? I didn't but i caught a stretch of clouds across the dark night sky.

Even though i didn't see the moon phenomenon, i was shone by this stellar watcher at the fire exit a while ago.

This kind of night sky makes me sleepily wander around my thoughts. The kind of feeling that the world will be a better place when you wake up. The stars are missing in this portion of the sky but they're all present in the opposite corner from where the light radiates. Sleepy sleepy atmosphere..

Decree of the Uncut Mane, Act of 2011

Because i seriously want to grow my hair longer. I've been wishing (and daydreaming) for a longer hair for the longest time but i always end up running to the nearest salon when i feel the tresses are heavy (or i'm feeling heavy inside heheh). So i'm going to put myself into a real tough challenge.

I hearby declare my pledge not to cut my hair this year (excluding regular inch trims).
If i cut my hair, i will run around The Fort (or any place equivalent to that distance) 10x while singing this.

rockets, heights, and lights

Photobucket

This week, i'm very occupied with miniature rocket ship prototypes and a hoard of design assignments. I plan to do rockets for an upcoming event. You can just imagine how messy my table is now. And i vow to clean my working area before this week ends. I'm glad that my creative space in the office is situated near the window because i love staring at shape-shifting clouds when i'm stressed out. But today, i can't even raise the blinds due to random stuff piling up over the window isle, hahah. Must get things done.

Leaving you with this short video i made out of the ferris wheel shot i took during our last last month's stroll down south. I think this is the longest cold spell we've had since i can remember, brrr. Happy weekend! ~ Ciao :)
